Neutral Blazer

Shop the Look:

Blazer J Crew via Thred Up, Similar  // Cami LOFT // Denim Leggings LOFT //
Ankle Boots (old) Amazon , Similar // Necklace Similar

One super easy look for fall is a blazer with a blouse type camisole.  That is probably not the right terminology (ha),  but basically, a cami that is a poly blend as opposed to a cotton tee or tank.  Of course, I love a good cotton tee, but cotton tends to cling on me in all the wrong places.  Not to mention, these LOFT camisoles, look a little more dressed up than your average tee.
Here is another blazer and cami look I wore last fall.  I have purchased both these blazers at consignment shops because I have noticed they tend to keep their shape and don't really go out of style.   I also linked a few more blazers below since mine is old.  I especially love the velvet blush camisole paired with the burgundy blazer.  I am trying not to shop anymore though until spring so maybe next year!

As much as I enjoy fashion, I often feel silly writing about it since it is such a small part of my life and obviously not very important.  Especially as women, I feel God puts it on our hearts to be searching for and surrounding ourselves with beauty - from breathtaking sunsets during a stressful drive home to tender moments between loved ones amidst a day of chaos.  I recently came across this touching article where she very eloquently states the importance of recognizing and appreciating those beautiful moments as gifts.

Poolside Maxi

I know summer has officially ended,  but temperatures here are still pretending like it's still if full force.  Now, since retailers are making room for fall inventory, it is a great time to stock up on any basics you need for summer.  A pretty summer maxi is a great addition to your wardrobe and can be worn to Church, picnics or festivals.  I paired it with a basic camisole and an olive colored cardigan to make it look a little more appropriate for fall.   Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Sweater Tank

This cozy sweater is the perfect top to carry you through those days when the weather is transitioning from spring to summer.  The weight of the knit keeps you a little warmer while your arms don't get too hot!  (I am always hot!)  Also, love any top that is long enough to wear with leggings!  This is on sale too!

Linked some more of my favorite summer sweaters after the break!

Printed Tee

Hello!  I know this outfit isn't really anything special, but I try to feature everything I wear, dressed up or dressed down.  I usually opt for solid colors as they pair with more items, but I also like to have a pretty printed top when I feel like throwing on jeans and a tee.

These sandals are so comfortable!  They are from Born and they are great for lots of walking- the foot bed is so supportive and soft at the same time.

Also, linked some more affordable printed tees after the break.

Thanks so much for reading!

Lace Top

Lace seems to be a big trend this spring and I love the variety of lace tops, dresses and skirts that retailers are selling this season.  The delicate lace fabric makes any outfit look polished and feminine without many accessories.  Love this top from LOFT and they have some other great options that I linked below.  Thanks so much for reading!

Neutral Scarf

I am loving this neutral plaid scarf from LOFT these days!  I will wear a basic tee or blouse and jeans around the house, then throw on a long cardigan and this scarf when I go out!  Makes leaving the house super easy because my little guy will not let me put him down (and I'm cool with that!)

Curved Sleeve Sweater & Gift Ideas

I love the whole "square scarf" trend that has been all over lately.  It's the perfect accessory for me right now because it is soft and stays put!  My toddler loves to play with my blanket scarves and when I wear jewelry I always have to be careful that it does not scratch my newborn.  So this is perfect for right now when I want to look put together but still be comfortable.  Thanks for reading!  Hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving!!

Also, with Christmas fast approaching, I wanted to let you know about some great gifts we offer with Neal's Yard Remedies.  Right now, we are offering 20% off all of our gift sets ranging in price from $19.50- $70.  We have so many different options for the all natural beauty product lovers in your lives!  We are also offering 20% off our Healing Foods book this weekend!  I own this book and not only are the pictures beautiful, but there is such a wealth of information about how certain foods can help heal certain ailments.  Many delicious recipes are included as well.  I referenced this book a lot during my pregnancy and after my C-section to make sure I was doing all I could to enhance my baby's health and my own as well!  So interesting and a great gift for the health nut in your family!
Lastly, we have candles, essential oils and travel sets that would make great gifts too!

Thanks for reading!!

Olive & Plum

Hi ladies!  Hope you all are doing well this week!  I just had another ultrasound and thankfully my little guy decided to flip so he's head down now and ready to go!  I'm so excited!  Even though this is my fifth child, I still get somewhat terrified when I think about labor.  I have delivered all of my babies naturally and despite one of my kids coming out face up (so painful), and one of them wrapping the cord around their neck (so scary), my labors have always been relatively smooth.  Even so, I still tend to worry, doubt my body's abilities and forget to trust in God.  Luckily, my husband is good at reminding me of all this and keeping me sane!

Anyway, this is another of my favorite color combos for fall and this dress is perfect for anyone who is expecting!  It is not maternity, but because of the blouson waist it can be worn throughout pregnancy.  It probably won't be the best for nursing in those early months, because the sleeves won't pull down easily, but once the baby is nursing a little less infrequently I could definitely see wearing it all the time!  I think it would look great with a faux leather jacket and knee high boots in the winter, and a jean jacket or white cardigan in the spring.

Thanks so much for reading!!

(Oh and please excuse my hair in these pics!  It was really windy and I may or may not have only brushed it in the car!  Ha!)

Pops of Red

Hi ladies!  Here is a super easy outfit featuring items most of us have in our closets already (except for the red heels maybe)!!  But, regardless of what color of your shoe, I love the idea of an all white outfit with just a pop of one or two colors.

I purchased this cardigan through Thred Up and I wear it all the time.  However, I was contemplating replacing the buttons with something like this to give it a little edge.  What do you guys think?  My DIY projects usually turn into fails, but I am not sure if even I could mess this one up!
