Embroidered Scarf

Hi ladies!  I purchased this skirt from LOFT a couple of weeks age and I have already worn it numerous times.  The tie waist gives it a casual feel, but it also easily dressed up as well.  The length makes it appropriate for work, church or play.  This skirt is on sale for 60% off right now making it under $20!  The scarf goes with almost anything in my closet too.  LOFT has some great summer dresses on sale including this one I scooped this morning!

At-home Facial

Hi Ladies!!  Today I would like to introduce you to three of my favorite NYR products.  I use these three products together a couple of times per month to give myself an "At home facial".
Whenever I do this, my skin feels so smooth, hydrated and refreshed.   This process also helps reduce redness and darks spots and seriously makes your skin glow.

First, I use the Rehydrating Rose Facial Polish ($23 or $17.25 if you become a consultant with me) to cleanse and gently exfoliate my skin from residue and dead skin.  Apply in a circular motion and massage into skin.  The aloe vera helps to smooth the skin while the wild rose seed powder gently cleanses.

Next, I apply the White Tea Enriching Facial Mask ($48 or $36 if you become a consultant with me).  Apply a thin layer to the skin and leave it on for about 10 min.  The antioxidant rich white tea helps to plump the skin and reduce fine lines while the kaolin purifies the skin.  To remove the mask, I like to take a damp washcloth and put a few drops of Womens Balance essential oil blend in the middle.  I then roll it up and warm it on a foil lined baking sheet in the oven on the lowest setting.  Next, I lay the washcloth over my face and take a few deep breaths.  It is so relaxing and I feel like I am at the spa!  I then use the washcloth to remove the mask.

Lastly, I apply the Wild Rose Beauty Balm ($70 or $52.50 if you become a consultant with me) and leave it on overnight.  This balm is packed with antioxidants as well and the texture is almost like Vaseline, but there is of course no petroleum or parabens.  This is what really gives your skin that glow.  It also helps to balance your skin, so whether you have oily or dry skin, this product will help restore your skin.  I also use this to soothe sunburns, fade scars, protect skin from harsh winds in the winter, soothe bug bites and many other skin issues. It is a bit pricey bit you really do not need much so it lasts a long time.

** The Facial Polish is FREE if you join with the $99 starter kit.  The White Tea Mask and Wild Rose Beauty Balm are included with the $199 starter kit.  Email me with any questions at rosemary.bostic@gmail.com.

Boho

I try not to buy many patterned tops because they tend to be harder to accessorize, but I loved how this one appears to have two layers and was so unique.  Plus it was 50% off.  This type of blouse is pretty low maintenance because it washes nicely, doesn't wrinkle and fits well on all body types.

Join In June!! Receive FREE products!

I am so excited about both of our joining specials this month!!  In addition to our specials, I will be giving away one of these mini humidifiers/essential oil diffusers for FREE!!!  I LOVE mine and I am slowing purchasing one for every room in our house.  I love diffusing Lavender, and Chamomile in the baby's room, Mandarin Orange in the kids room and NYR's Night Time Blend in our room.   I truly feel it helps us sleep, cleanses the room and keeps the air from getting too dry.  It is especially helpful when the kids are sick.  It also doubles as a night light.

When you purchase either of our kits you will become a consultant.  As a consultant you will introduce these products to friends, family, neighbors, etc. in addition to receiving discounted products.  I was nervous about the whole "direct sales model" at first, but eventually realized that I enjoy the products and the company so much that selling them came easy.  I have watched ladies grow and achieve success in all levels of the company.  I have also been very impressed with the integrity of NYR (Neal's Yard Remedies).  They have been utilizing the power of essential oils for over 30 years now and it is evident that they put product safety way above their bottom line.

June Joining Specials:

1.  FREE Rose Facial Polish when you purchase $99 Frankincense kit.

If you are wanting to learn more about our products, but are uneasy about making the $199              purchase, this option is perfect for you.  (The Facial Polish is a gentle exfoliator.  I use it once or twice a week before I apply a mask.

2.  FREE Rose Facial Oil when you purchase our $199 Starter kit.

This is the kit I purchased when I first started and I was sooo glad that I did.  I loved getting to know all of the products and it really is a GREAT deal.

To find out more about these great deals and what is included in the kits, please visit my website or my Facebook page.

Blue & White

I know it seems absolutely ridiculous to wear all white when you have four kids in tow, but honestly, I have a much easier time getting stains out of whites than some other colors.  After I discovered this TIDE To go pen on Amazon, I stopped worrying about spills and sticky hands.  I carry it all the time in my diaper bag and it works like a charm.

Highwaisted

I have been so excited to see that retailers are carrying high waisted jeans and pants again,  The high waist is much more flattering and supportive for a post baby body.   And, retailers have given the high waisted pant a more modern design so it doesn't look dated.
I wore this outfit to run errands a few days ago and felt comfortable but put together at the same time.  Click on the below links to see outfit details!

Miz Mooz shoes

I love the ease of a  button up shirtdress.  The beautiful pattern on the bottom half of this one in particular makes it fun to wear as well.  The button up style plus a scarf and cardigan makes nursing  a breeze.
These shoes are a brand called Miz Mooz.  Nordstrom carries the newer styles but prices can range from $90- $120.  I have been able to find similar styles on Amazon for around $30-  $40.  The  brand is so comfortable and well made.  If you are in the market for new shoes, give them a try!

What I'm wearing:
Sweater: Target (in stores) Similar, Dress: Ruche (only one left), Striped option Shoes: Amazon, Similar style and other colors, Necklace: Amazon (very similar to J Crew style but only $18)
Scarf: DSW, Similar (all black)

Red & Olive

I am loving the combination of olive and red lately.  This linen cardigan from LOFT the perfect layer for spring because it is breathable and light.
These shorts seem way shorter in the picture than in real life,  Maybe it is the angle since my 5 year old took the pics??   I don't know but for reference, these are a 4 inch inseam and I am 5'8.  I suppose I will have to go a little longer next time!  Although the length is not ideal for my height, I do like the looser fit and higher rise of these shorts.

Dandruff Relief

I have been dealing with dandruff for the past couple of months now, and I have literally tried everything to treat it.  I tried apple cider vinegar, baking soda, all natural shampoos, even Head & Shoulders and all kinds of dandruff treatments, but nothing seemed to work.  Finally, when my baby had cradle cap, I used this all natural baby balm and I could tell the balm was healing and loosening the flakes, but they were not coming off.  It eventually occurred to me, that not only did her scalp need a nourishing treatment to heal the cradle cap but also some gentle exfoliation.  Once I shampooed and "brushed" her hair, the cradle cap was gone.  Since cradle cap is essentially the same thing as dandruff, I realized I needed to exfoliate my scalp as well.  I found this brush on Amazon for only $10 and I couldn't be a happier with the results!  According to the description, the copper infused bristles on the brush aid in killing 88% of dandruff causing fungi".  Plus, it feels amazing on my scalp!
I also decided to try NYR Organic's Rosemary & Cedarwood Hair Treatment because rosemary essential oil stimulates circulation to the scalp.  On top of that, the antiseptic and astringent properties in cedarwood essential oil make the two oils a perfect combination when treating dandruff.  This is the book I refer to when using essential oils.

Once I started using this brush along with this hair treatment, the dandruff disappeared.  I have also noticed that my hair has become smoother and more manageable.
This is the process I go through:
1. Brush dry hair (with the above brush), focusing on the scalp, for at least a minute or two.
2. Apply small amount of Rosemary & Cedarwood treatment to the "problem areas" of your scalp.
(only need a very small amount or it can be difficult to wash out of your hair)
3. Wrap your hair in a cotton t shirt.  I have learned that the fibers in towels can actually increase             frizz.  Leave treatment on for about a half an hour.
4.  Wash out with all natural dandruff shampoo.  This is my favorite. http://amzn.to/1eRRwXs
5.  Condition as usual and comb hair.
6.  Let air dry, then use the brush again to remove any remaining flakes.

**If you have any questions about the NYR products, please contact me at rosemary.bostic@gmail.com.  I am an independent consultant for NYR Organics, but I have not been compensated for this post.

Black Out

This embroidered blouse originally from LOFT has been perfect for nursing my 9 month old the past couple of months.  The top half is fitted while the fabric around the waist is loose and billowy.  (Flattering even if you have not just had a baby)
I don't own a lot of handbags, but I think a bright, colorful clutch would be the perfect accessory to this outfit.
