Navy & Yellow

I have had this casual navy skirt for a while, but never really knew what color tights and shoes to wear with it.  Last fall, I purchased these gray ankle boots from Amazon and they really pair with every outfit!  The color matches with any color and the style goes nicely with skirts, pants and denim.  Plus, the heel is a good height for me.

Thanks so much for reading!

Lace Hem

I love the "lace hem" trend that has been popping up over the last few years because it lengthens the silhouette of the top and helps to conceal my tummy.  Plus the lace adds a feminine touch that is so pretty.  Speaking of "my tummy", this denim leggings are pretty much the only pants that I can fit into right now.  With my other babies, I was able to at least squeeze into some of my jeans 5 months after baby, but this time I'm not even close! I don't know if it is because I am getting older or the fact that I had my first four naturally and had to have a C-section with little T.  Either way, I don't necessarily care about losing the weight, but I do want to tighten up.  I have been feeling super weak lately and need some motivation to get active again.  How do you guys fit working out into your busy schedules?  Would love to hear some advice!

Thanks so much for reading!

Spring Tassels

So excited spring is finally here in the midwest!  When it comes to spring, I usually gravitate towards bright white, pastels and florals.  I love this multi colored tassel necklace from Target.  It pairs with a variety of colors, denim and white!  I wore it last spring here and can't wait to wear it with this skirt and this yellow dress.  I linked some other affordable white dresses/tunics and tassel necklaces at the end of this post.

We are dog sitting for my sister in law for the next couple of weeks because we wanted to get an idea if we could handle adding a dog into our crazy household.  To be honest, I hardly notice he is here.  My 7 year old walks him all the time and the kids are on top of it when it comes to his food bowl.  I'm sure a puppy would be so much more work, but the kids would totally love it!  What kind of dogs do you guys have?  What breeds are family friendly?

Pinstriped Vest

Outfit Details:

I know I am always talking about "nursing friendly" clothing, but since I ecologically breastfeed it is  something I have had to think about a lot since I started having children.  With my first couple of babies, I bought into a lot of the nursing wear that retailers sold, but I never really liked how these items looked, fit, held up and, most importantly, I was disappointed in the ease of nursing when wearing "nursing clothes".  A lot of the openings are too small, the material bunches underneath or gets too stretched out.  I have found it is a lot easier and more cost effective to buy cotton tees and layer with interesting jackets, cardigans, vests and scarves.  Then you can easily lift up your tee, throw on a nursing cover and still have extra coverage from the vest, jacket or scarf.  I have also found dresses with side zips, camisole straps, or V backs and easy to nurse in, because you can easily slide out an arm- again you would just need a cardigan or jacket.  I hope someone out there finds this helpful!

I love this pinstriped vest I purchased from Banana Republic.  It is a lot different than any other item in my closet because it menswear inspired, but I have found it to be a pretty versatile layer!

Anyway, thanks so much for reading!  And feel free to contact me if you have any questions in regards to nursing clothes.  I am definitely don't consider myself an expert in fashion, but I have learned a lot about what to wear when you have little babies and kids.

Leather & Leopard

So after a couple of weeks dealing with a mild respiratory flu (that went through all the kids), we have been hitting some pretty big milestones!  My two and a half year old, Ellie, basically potty trained herself and my 4 month old has started to let me put him down during his naps!  I didn't realize how sore my back and neck were until I had a break from carrying him or wearing him ALL day.  I still get kind of sad when I have to put him down because I really do love holding him, but obviously it is a necessity at this point!  Just bittersweet when the kids go through each stage so quickly.

I purchased this dress from Pink Blush as well.  It's actually great for nursing with a pair of thick leggings and the material is flowy so it's not clingy on your post baby body!  It work great for maternity too!

Winter Dress

These wrap dresses from Pink Blush are perfect for all stages of pregnancy and nursing (or neither).  The dress pulls down easy for nursing, but still retains its shape.  The wrap style is super flattering on every figure.  I layered a lightweight gray sweater over this dress for some added warmth and I can now wear this dress throughout the winter as well.  I love it!

Nursing Cover

This multi-use cover was gifted to me from the Blissful Trenders and I use it all the time as a nursing cover.  I just throw it on over a nursing tank and it is a stylish and practical top while being easily accessible for nursing,  It is great because it also covers your back when feeding your little one.  It can also be worn as a one shoulder top, infinity scarf, swaddling blanket and car seat cover.  This floral print is so pretty, but they have some other unique prints as well.

On another note, two weeks ago, we, along with my parents, woke the kids up at 3am one morning and surprised them with a trip to Disney World!  It was a lot of fun, but a lot of work with an infant and a toddler (especially the toddler)!  Would anyone be interested in hearing any tips on navigating Disney?  I feel like we learned a lot and made many mistakes the first couple of days, then we started to figure out the best way to plan our day by the end of the trip.  I typically do not like to plan when I travel so we can have a little flexibility, but I think it would have been prudent to make dinner reservations and reserve certain fast passes far in advance.  Let me know if you are interested in hearing more and I can elaborate!

Lastly, we have some great deals this month with NYR Organics.  We are offering a FREE Organic Greens Complex when you purchase our Organic Cocoa Complex or Organic Berry Complex for half off!  So you can essentially receive 4 packets for under $30!  Also, our award winning Beauty Sleep Concentrate is 25% off from March 6-13!  This product is designed to work in accordance with our sleep rhythms to ensure a good night's rest and rejuvenated skin.  All of our products are created with essential oils, plants and herbs and do not contain any harmful parabens, synthetic dyes or fragrances, petroleum or mineral oils or other toxic ingredients.  Email me if you have any questions!  Shipping is on me this month!
