Blue & White

I know it seems absolutely ridiculous to wear all white when you have four kids in tow, but honestly, I have a much easier time getting stains out of whites than some other colors.  After I discovered this TIDE To go pen on Amazon, I stopped worrying about spills and sticky hands.  I carry it all the time in my diaper bag and it works like a charm.

Highwaisted

I have been so excited to see that retailers are carrying high waisted jeans and pants again,  The high waist is much more flattering and supportive for a post baby body.   And, retailers have given the high waisted pant a more modern design so it doesn't look dated.
I wore this outfit to run errands a few days ago and felt comfortable but put together at the same time.  Click on the below links to see outfit details!

Miz Mooz shoes

I love the ease of a  button up shirtdress.  The beautiful pattern on the bottom half of this one in particular makes it fun to wear as well.  The button up style plus a scarf and cardigan makes nursing  a breeze.
These shoes are a brand called Miz Mooz.  Nordstrom carries the newer styles but prices can range from $90- $120.  I have been able to find similar styles on Amazon for around $30-  $40.  The  brand is so comfortable and well made.  If you are in the market for new shoes, give them a try!

What I'm wearing:
Sweater: Target (in stores) Similar, Dress: Ruche (only one left), Striped option Shoes: Amazon, Similar style and other colors, Necklace: Amazon (very similar to J Crew style but only $18)
Scarf: DSW, Similar (all black)

Red & Olive

I am loving the combination of olive and red lately.  This linen cardigan from LOFT the perfect layer for spring because it is breathable and light.
These shorts seem way shorter in the picture than in real life,  Maybe it is the angle since my 5 year old took the pics??   I don't know but for reference, these are a 4 inch inseam and I am 5'8.  I suppose I will have to go a little longer next time!  Although the length is not ideal for my height, I do like the looser fit and higher rise of these shorts.

Dandruff Relief

I have been dealing with dandruff for the past couple of months now, and I have literally tried everything to treat it.  I tried apple cider vinegar, baking soda, all natural shampoos, even Head & Shoulders and all kinds of dandruff treatments, but nothing seemed to work.  Finally, when my baby had cradle cap, I used this all natural baby balm and I could tell the balm was healing and loosening the flakes, but they were not coming off.  It eventually occurred to me, that not only did her scalp need a nourishing treatment to heal the cradle cap but also some gentle exfoliation.  Once I shampooed and "brushed" her hair, the cradle cap was gone.  Since cradle cap is essentially the same thing as dandruff, I realized I needed to exfoliate my scalp as well.  I found this brush on Amazon for only $10 and I couldn't be a happier with the results!  According to the description, the copper infused bristles on the brush aid in killing 88% of dandruff causing fungi".  Plus, it feels amazing on my scalp!
I also decided to try NYR Organic's Rosemary & Cedarwood Hair Treatment because rosemary essential oil stimulates circulation to the scalp.  On top of that, the antiseptic and astringent properties in cedarwood essential oil make the two oils a perfect combination when treating dandruff.  This is the book I refer to when using essential oils.

Once I started using this brush along with this hair treatment, the dandruff disappeared.  I have also noticed that my hair has become smoother and more manageable.
This is the process I go through:
1. Brush dry hair (with the above brush), focusing on the scalp, for at least a minute or two.
2. Apply small amount of Rosemary & Cedarwood treatment to the "problem areas" of your scalp.
(only need a very small amount or it can be difficult to wash out of your hair)
3. Wrap your hair in a cotton t shirt.  I have learned that the fibers in towels can actually increase             frizz.  Leave treatment on for about a half an hour.
4.  Wash out with all natural dandruff shampoo.  This is my favorite. http://amzn.to/1eRRwXs
5.  Condition as usual and comb hair.
6.  Let air dry, then use the brush again to remove any remaining flakes.

Black Out

This embroidered blouse originally from LOFT has been perfect for nursing my 9 month old the past couple of months.  The top half is fitted while the fabric around the waist is loose and billowy.  (Flattering even if you have not just had a baby)
I don't own a lot of handbags, but I think a bright, colorful clutch would be the perfect accessory to this outfit.

Grapefruit

While at Target, picking up diapers, I saw this grapefruit scarf and could not pass it up.   It just reminded me of spring!  I have also paired it with mint jeans and a white sweater.  My girls and I love the accessory section at Target and could play in there for hours!
