Summer Nights

Hi ladies!  I purchased this dress a couple of months ago when Ruche was having a 30% off sale.
I thought it would be perfect for festivals, graduations or recitals during the summer.  The blouson waist is actually quite flattering in person.  The dress a little bit twisted in the photos giving it a weird bulge, but it's really not like that.  It's nice to have a little flexibility in the waist line!

Scalloped Details

Hi ladies,  As I have said before, I am not crazy about shorts.  However, I love the scalloped detail on this pair.  The fabric is also thick and has a subtle jacquard print which makes them appear more dressed up.  They do run big, so definitely size down!

One Crock pot, Two meals

Hi ladies!  Hope everyone had a good weekend.  Today I am sharing some quick, easy and nutritious recipes that I have added into my weekly rotation.  The best part of all, most of the prep can be done all at once, in one crock pot for these two separate meals which is so helpful when you have little ones hanging on you during dinner preparation.

Meal #1. Chicken with Roasted Potatoes & Peas
-whole roasting  chicken
- onion
- garlic
- garlic powder
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 tsp rosemary
- 1/4 tsp cayenne
-potatoes
Frozen peas

-Remove giblets, rinse chicken and pat dry .  Mix spices together and rub on chicken.  Roughly chop onion and place in bottom of crock pot.  Place chicken, breast side up on top of the onions.  Crush garlic and place on top of chicken.

Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4.
-Take chicken out and let cool.  (Leave all the juices in the crock pot.  You will use these when making homemade bone broth for Meal #2.) While chicken is cooling, preheat oven to 475, chop potatoes and toss with olive oil, sea salt and rosemary.  Cook potatoes for about 10-15 min or until crispy at 475 degrees.  Stir occasionally.  Warm frozen peas according to instructions.
-Remove all the meat from the chicken, then place bones back in the crock pot, (with all the extra juices)
- Serve the chicken breasts and legs, then reserve the other meat for the soup.

Blush, Ivory & Gray

Hi ladies!  I bought these gray jeans a couple of years ago and they really go with EVERYTHING!  It is a nice change from your usual denim and they pair well with reds, blues, pinks, black and white.  This flowy top from Ruche was perfect when I was in the early stages of my latest pregnancy and worked well right after she was born too.  Plus, it is so soft and cozy for my kids to snuggle and or slobber on now!

Mint & Red

Hi ladies!  So I have been trying to be a little more bold with my color pairings when I am putting an outfit together, and mint and red is a combination I was excited to try.  It is hard to tell from these pictures, but the two colors really do compliment each other well.
We are still working on figuring out lighting, aperture, cropping and photography in general, but it's been fun learning along side my older daughters (5 & 7).  They are my photographers and their bedtime is during the "golden hour" (haha) of photography so it's hard to find good lighting during the day.
This blouse from LOFT is so pretty.  The extra detail (fringe and cut outs) give the blouse an interesting texture so I did not need to add a necklace.  It is hard wearing jewelry with an almost one year old, so any top that can stand on its own will get a lot of wear!
